Smoke my “Poll of Polls”
Will CNN shut the fuck off? I’m so sick of hearing about how the presidential race is narrowing when, in truth, McCain has gained one percentage point. Such stories are then followed by how a state that hasn’t voted Democratic in forty years is now leaning Obama, as well as half of the remaining toss-up states out there.
Unless there is some concrete evidence on how the election is shaping up, I don’t want to hear it. When you start getting returns from early voting and absentee ballots then let that reflect where your numbers are coming from. Polls are completely unreliable and only serve to fuel hype. One station can say their new polls show Obama with a 12-point lead while another station says their “Poll-of Polls” has as a 7-point lead. They are merely tools of conjecture and should have no place in the NEWS.
Based on recent trends, I can deduce that I will probably take a shit around 6 A.M and another around 2 P.M but depending on what I ate recently, things could change dramatically. But until I take that shit, I will never know. So please CNN, let America move its bowels before you wipe our ass.
