McCain Campaign Crumbles
Don’t count all your eggs before they’ve hatched. The McCain camp and the Republican party sure aren’t. At this point, just over one week before Election Day, many of them are already conceding defeat, pointing the finger and wondering what went wrong?
McCain’s strategists in recent days have already started to make excuses for why they lost; complaining in recent interviews about Barack Obama’s unfair media coverage and big financial advantage.
It is believed this is only a little taste of what is going on behind the scenes.It is also said the GOP is setting up a circular firing squad to figure out who is to to blame for the coming defeat. Top Republican officials are distressed over the lack of co-ordination between the McCain camp and the Republican National Committee. “There is no communication,” said one top Republican, “it drives you crazy.”
Some top aides to McCain have already begun sending out résumés. “It’s not an extraordinarily happy place to be right now,” said one aide, “I’m not gonna lie. It’s unfortunate.”
